Getting Around Boston

Boston is a very “walkable” city. You do not need to rent a car to get around for the conference, nor is it encouraged as the road system is very confusing and parking is hard to find.

The “T” subway system is easy to use. The Radisson Hotel is near the Arlington Street station of the Green Line and the conference venue is at the Longwood stop on the E train. A 7-day pass allowing unlimited use is available for $US 15 (~10 Euro).

Old North Church, built in 1723, is the oldest church building in Boston and houses the oldest church bells in North America. On the night of April 18, 1775, the sexton Robert Newman climbed the steeple and briefly hung two lanterns. This small act touched off the War for Independence.
