The program for the Amsterdam International Forum VIII has been developed through a collaboration of the national organizing committee and the Forum’s International Advisory Committee. The program has been built upon seminars, workshops, and research paper presentations. The venue and program format have been purposely selected to provide an exceptional environment for productive discussions to explore and build on current knowledge and develop useful (or innovative) ideas for future research. Past Forums have attracted leading clinician-scientists, researchers, care providers, health policy-makers and others interested in furthering the state of knowledge of low back pain problems.
The Amsterdam International Forum VIII will focus on issues faced by patients, primary care providers and policy members today as well as methodological challenges of back pain research.
Topics of the Forum include:
- Clinical trials and defining minimum clinically important differences
- Economic evaluations - New developments related to diagnostic research and subclassification
- Back pain and work
- Diagnosis and prognosis
We hope that this program will help further understanding of low back pain and improve the quality of both primary care and research in this area.
