Amsterdam International Forum VIII: Call for abstracts
  Amsterdam International Forum VIII
PRIMARY CARE RESEARCH ON LOW BACK PAIN

Call for abstracts

The National Organizing Committee of the Amsterdam International Forum VIII invites individuals to submit abstracts for two categories of presentations:

  • Oral and Poster Presentations
  • Workshops

Guidelines for oral and poster presentations
The focus of oral and poster presentations should be related to the presentation and discussion of research results or methodological issues. Time allocated for oral presentations is 10 minutes and poster presentations 5 minutes.

Guidelines for workshops
Workshops during the Amsterdam International Forum VIII should aim to help improve primary care research on low back pain a step forward. The focus should be to reach consensus on a specific topic related to clinical or methodological challenges. Preference is given to workshops organized by an international group of individuals.

We suggest writing a scientific paper related to the workshop. The framework of this paper could be circulated before the conference in June 2006. This will probably help focussing the discussion at the workshop and help completing the final manuscripts soon after the conference. The organizing committee will explore possibilities to get the manuscripts published in a special issue of a relevant scientific journal.

Workshops should NOT consist of presentations of study results.

The Abstract Submission Forms can be downloaded from the links below. Please submit completed forms via e-mail to: lbpforum8@vumc.nl.

All abstracts will be reviewed by the members of the Forum's National Organizing Committee and the International Advisory Committee. The deadline for submission is December 31st, 2005. Notification of acceptance will be sent out by March 1st, 2006.
